The young women who participate truly grow an immense amount through being involved, and leave more capable and self-confident than before. Our previous titleholders set high goals in life and continue today to do amazing things working towards their goals. The scholarships, friendships, and platform to learn about the importance of community is priceless in creating the female leaders of tomorrow. Sidney Schrand
Sidney now attends Michigan State University and is working towards a bachelors degree in electrical engineering and a minor in neuroscience. She is a member of Phi Sigma Rho, a sorority for engineers and was the President in 2018. At school, she also works as a research assistant at HAT laboratory. She still loves to come back home to Farmington to see a movie at the Civic Theater or grab a french fry at Peterlyns and is still passionate about recycling and saving the Bees!

Jenny Fernandez
Jenny Fernandez was crowned in July of 2010 by Kayla Pingel. In 2011, she graduated with high honors from Harrison High School. Jenny then moved to Philadelphia to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of the Arts, graduating in 2015. Aside from performing in concerts, plays, and musicals, Jenny teaches singing, acting, and dance to kids and teens in and around Philly. She lives in Olde Richmond, Philadelphia with her husband Steven and cat Mr. Whiskers.

Megan Cromwell
Megan Cromwell has lived in Farmington her whole life and will be graduating from Farmington High School this spring. She plans to continue working with her passion of music, and performing. Megan has been a part of the All State Honors Choir, has received National recognition for her songwriting, and is currently President of the Madrigal Choir at FHS. This year, she will be traveling with her choir to Orlando for a choral workshop, studying vocal performance from Disney clinicians. She dreams of going on to be a professional singer and songwriter, and plans to begin recording some of her original music soon.

Emma Feeheely
After her reign as miss Farmington, Emma graduated from Mercy highschool and headed west to pursue her dreams of teaching dance and performing! She currently lives in Los Angeles where she is directing a dance company and teaching full time. She also is continuing her pageant career and is competing for Miss Beverly Hills in October!

Kayla Pingle
Since her year as Miss Farmington, Kayla graduated in 2016 from Western Michigan University with her Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Japanese. On the day of the first Women’s March, Kayla won the title of Miss Sunrise Side and competed for the title of Miss Michigan. She recently returned from Japan after teaching abroad for a few months and is looking to further her Japanese language studies.

Summer Badrak
Summer is currently in her first year of college and is planning to transfer after this year to Wayne State to pursue a nursing degree. Summer is still a very active member in the community and volunteers nights as a cheer coach. Along with that, she still advocates for mental health and works with groups of high school girls with a mission of empowering young women to speak up when they are having issues. In her free time, Summer teaches guitar lessons and still enjoys a good walk downtown Farmington with friends and family.

Elise Newcomer
It is 8 years after Elise was Miss Farmington 2011, and she now lives in Edinburgh with her partner Stuart. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts in 2018, studying history and french, and in August she completed a Masters in Information Management and Preservation at the University of Glasgow. She and Stuart will be married October 12th in Livonia, and then will return to their life in Edinburgh, where Elise works at Edinburgh University Library, volunteers in historical archives, bakes delicious treats, and dreams of one day adopting a dog.
